After much consideration, I have decided to withdraw my name from the Missouri Republican Primary Election ballot for the United States Senate.
I recently learned that the work I perform on federal grants for the St. Peters Police Department may stop me from seeking partisan political office. While it deeply disappoints me to end this campaign, I understand the spirit of this law is to prevent undue government influence in our free elections. I still have not received a definitive opinion on my situation from the federal government, but I feel we must unite and move forward soon or risk wasting this opportunity to improve Missouri’s representation in Washington D.C. It is with this goal in mind that I am voluntarily removing my name from the ballot and I am asking you all to unite behind another fiscally-conservative U.S. Senate candidate in the August 3rd Primary.
A new decade is dawning in Missouri, and with that will come new and unforeseen challenges. We need to send someone to Washington D.C. who has the courage to stop the federal government spending spree that is escalating the federal debt and threatening our nation’s economic stability. We need to send someone to Washington D.C. who is not entrenched in the corruption and abuse of an expanding federal state. Most importantly, we need to send someone to Washington D.C. who understands and can represent the interests of our great state.
In my opinion, the Republican candidate who best exemplifies these qualities is current Missouri State Senator Chuck Purgason. In addition to his commitment to a smaller federal government, I agree with Senator Purgason on the major political issues. I personally support Chuck Purgason’s bid for the United States Senate. For more information about Chuck, please visit his website.
I urge you to vote for Chuck Purgason in the August 3rd Republican Primary Election and to support the winner of this Primary contest in the General Election on November 2, 2010.
Thank you all for your support and hard work. I greatly appreciate everything that my supporters have done throughout this campaign. I wish you all the best, and I hope you continue to respond to the call of civic responsibility by remaining politically knowledgeable, and politically engaged citizens.
